Refunds
Deposits, cancellations, and what cannot be unwound
These rules apply to the sittings we actually offer: the two-day workshop, ninety-minute reviews, the Tuesday circle, and four-week mentoring. They do not describe shop goods, downloadable products, or subscriptions we do not sell.
Eligibility
A refund is available when we cancel a sitting and you do not take a replacement date, when we refuse a booking after a deposit because the pre-work shows the sitting is unsuitable, or when you cancel inside the windows below. Fees already tied to work we have delivered — a completed review, notes already written, or workshop days already sat — are not returned in full.
Timeframe
Write to info@buildvertexcore.digital or telephone 07935508974. We aim to confirm the decision within five working days and to send any refund within fourteen days after that confirmation. Bank timing after we instruct the transfer is outside the room.
Workshops
Cancel more than fourteen days before the first morning and the deposit is returned; if you have already paid the balance, that balance is returned too. Cancel fourteen days or fewer before the first morning and the deposit is kept; the balance, if paid, is returned. If you do not attend and do not write, the full fee for that place is due. You may send a substitute whose pre-work we accept; tell us at least three working days ahead so the chart pack can be re-labelled.
Chart Review Sessions
Cancel more than forty-eight hours before the sitting and the fee is returned. Inside forty-eight hours, or on a no-show, the fee is kept because the hour and the pre-reading cannot be sold again at short notice. If we have already read your scans and you cancel outside forty-eight hours, we may keep £40 for that reading and return the rest.
Reading circle
Cancel before the first Tuesday and more than fourteen days ahead: full refund. After the first evening, the fee is for the block, not per week; we do not refund missed Tuesdays, and we do not move a single evening into a later circle without a new registration. If we cancel the remaining evenings, the unused portion of the fee is refunded in sixths.
Desk mentoring
The first invoice covers acceptance and the first two weekly notes. If you withdraw before any note is written, that invoice is returned. Once a note has been sent, that half is earned. The second half, invoiced before week three, is returned if you withdraw before week three and no third or fourth note has been started. Work already started is not unwound by a change of mind about the market.
Non-refundable items
Posted chart packs that have already left Grey Street are not refunded as a separate line; their cost sits inside the workshop fee. Lunches on days you did not attend are not itemised or repaid. Travel, hotels, and time off work are yours.
Rescheduling
One move to a later published workshop date is allowed if you write more than fourteen days ahead and that later table still has a chair. Mentoring weeks can shift by seven days once if both tutors are free. Reviews can be moved once inside thirty days of the original slot.
Our cancellation
If illness or a withdrawn hired room stops a date, you choose a later sitting or a full refund of sums paid for the unused sitting. We will not keep a deposit in that case.
Method
Refunds go to the account that paid. We do not pay cash at Grey Street. Tell us if the paying firm’s name differs from the person who sat.
